Royston Ribbon Turquoise (or Boulder Turquoise) originates from the Royston mining district located near Tonopah, Nevada.
Each piece has unique ‘ribbons’ of turquoise running through it – These ribbons are actually fine veins of Turquoise that have formed in small cracks of the host rock (the rock surrounding the Turquoise).
The color of the ribbon varies depending on the proportions of Copper and Iron:
